Jamie Nelder

Lead Pastor

Jamie and his wife Norma joined the Evangel family in April of 2017. They are parents to three adult children and super excited to be first time grandparents.

Born and raised in Sudbury, they are thrilled to be back home in the north.

Jamie and Norma have a passion to see God moving in people's lives and in helping individuals discover their calling and purpose in life.  There is no greater adventure than doing life with Jesus.

Jamie likes to read, sail, fish and play music in his spare time.  Norma loves to entertain and work along side Jamie.

Louise Heyer

Discipleship Pastor

Louise has been part of the pastoral staff of Evangel since 2004.  Louise was born in Quebec and raised in
southeastern Ontario. She met her husband Clarence at college in Saskatoon and they've been married for more than 30 years.  They are the proud parents of two adult daughters.

Louise and Clarence have been part of the Evangel family since they returned from 9 years of missionary work in Angola with Mission Aviation Fellowship.  Prior to that, they served at a Bible School mission in the northern Ontario community of Pickle Lake.

Louise is an energetic and engaging speaker, and has a profound love for teaching God's Word.  She also loves
gardening, camping, walking her dog, entertaining and spending as much time as possible with her family.

Jessica joined the Evangel staff in June 2018. After years of saying she would never move that north, she fell in love with the beauty of God's creation that is Thunder Bay.

Jessica graduated from Master's College and Seminary in 2016 and is passionate about building up leaders and empowering people to be who God created them to be.

Jess loves baking/cooking, reading, netflix binging and coffee. Don't ever tell her gold glitter isn't a colour because that's her favourite.
